Amanda King brings over 15 years of experience working in the childcare industry. She shares her knowledge happily and readily with families, nannies, and other NCS any chance she can.

Amanda was born in Atlanta, GA and quickly found a passion for working with children as a big sister to 2 siblings and participating in local Atlanta church.  Amanda began teaching Vacation Bible School to the three-year-old class in High School, and officially joined the church staff in 2007.  This was the beginning of her 15+ year career in childcare and family support. After taking on a variety of babysitting positions and working in the church nursery for 2 years, Amanda began to take on a larger role as Nanny and Household Manager. The first family she worked for consisted of 4 children under 4 years old, *WHEW*!  10 years later, equipped with many experiences and a thirst for more knowledge, Amanda began seeking the next steps in her career to provide exceptional care for children and families. She realized she wanted to work directly with newborns to help families in these major transitional life moments, and stumbled across information on becoming a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) in 2018. Amanda started taking newborn care courses in 2018, then pursuing certificates in childcare and familial knowledge with Texas A&M in 2019.  Just before “The Event That Shall Not Be Named” in 2020, Amanda became even more serious in her pursuit of newborn knowledge- she signed up for the Newborn Care Solutions Foundational Newborn Care Specialist course. And their Advanced NCS course within hours of completing the Foundational program. Now, equipped with an even more firm understanding of newborn care, she sought global certification and successfully completed the Council for Awards in Care, Health, and Education (CACHE) certification the same year. Amanda makes a constant effort to continue furthering her knowledge of infants, children and families well-being and success together. Her most recent accomplishments include joining the Elite NCS program through Newborn Care Solutions, becoming a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant at the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management, and working toward certification for the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association’s (CAPPA) Certified New Parent Educator program. Amanda’s family experience ranges from blue collar family support to household management of high-profile, high-net worth clientele.  At this point in her career, Amanda has found a new appreciation for providing support to higher order multiples and has worked with several families with twins and triplets as an NCS and hopes to work with more! She looks forward to bringing her exceptional knowledge to the table and implementing her training to provide the best experience for each and every one of her clients. At 32 years old, there’s no question that Amanda will continue to grow and become an invaluable asset to any family.
